Alan Brierty’s Western Australian entry Limit is actually a Sydney based boat with an owner and the majority of the crew who are prepared to fly back and forth to campaign their brand new Sydney 38. Brierty, a Sharpie sailor along with his five WA crew members, caught the bug after chartering the Sydney 38 Contentious Issue for last year’s Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race and placing first in the one-design division.
